It almost feels counter intuitive to say that. To CONNECT, implies taking action, plugging in, or DO-ing something. But recently, after being kicked to the curb by Covid, preceded by a gnarly cocktail of winter bugs that plugged and ploughed into me for a total of 5 weeks, I realised that to CONNECT, is the opposite of DO-ing anything. It took me 2 weeks to fully surrender, to let go and to BE sick, so I could recover and reconnect. I realised once again, that I got caught up

Storytelling is all the rage, but if your company's story isn't told right, it could be more harmful than edifying. Also, whether your leadership team and staff are willing to tell your story, or not, and how they tell it - determines whether it'll be heard, well received, and have the intended effect, or not. Th
* Here's the audio version of the Blog if you prefer listening to it. I hate the words "public speaking". 🤢 They're boring. They've become so loaded over the years. Fraught with fear, they're cloaked in quotation marks that threaten an even worse encounter than the promise of Dementors from Harry Potter. 👻 I wish I could divorce myself from them permanently, because it's still such a scary business for 90% of the world. But alas, I cannot. They're stuck together, and to us
One of my favourite sayings. Right? True Story. P!nk's powerful new music video for "Irrelevant" is a brilliant example of how we can use our voice to bring about positive change, to give a voice to those who need it, and to speak up for truth. But first, what is truth? In NLP we say, there is a measure of truth in every perspective. There has to be - someone believes it to be true, so in their world, and in their life - that is "their" truth, even if it is the only droplet

I actually couldn't be bothered with them. Lol. I was more of a climbing trees, falling and scraping my knees while running through open fields, swinging on tyre swings over rivers kinda girl. Not sure much of that has changed, other than a bit of make up and heels. Adventure still courses through my veins and
𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙚 is a problem that most leaders face. At its core, one of the biggest reasons for it, is because we want to add 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲. True story. The problem is - "𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡" Do you want to add value to your Board Members? To the Conference Organisers, your Manager, your staff, the CEO? Do you see how the focus of 'adding value' holds a YOU focus? It can become about your value, your worth, your 'right'
Turn Up the YOU, means owning our choices. Have you ever heard someone say, "That person's a sh*t magnet"? Why does that happen, and how we can get out of a funk, to become a "happiness" magnet instead. 😉 While it's great seeing more easing of restrictions, so many people are still saying they're feeling feeling exhausted and "over it". Whether it's Covid, restrictions, or other challenges we've faced over the last few years. And I get it! I've said those exact words at som
