𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙚 is a problem that most leaders face. At its core, one of the biggest reasons for it, is because we want to add 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲.
True story.
The problem is - "𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡"
Do you want to add value to your Board Members? To the Conference Organisers, your Manager, your staff, the CEO?
Do you see how the focus of 'adding value' holds a YOU focus? It can become about your value, your worth, your 'right' to be there, how qualified you are, how professional you come across etc. etc.
However, when you shift from focusing on "VALUE" to "SERVICE" -
your focus will expand -
𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙈.
"Focus on Service over Value"
Now it's not all about you, which decreases anxiety and stress.
When it's about THEM, we can now increase empathy, connection, trust, you will build rapport easier, because you've got nothing to prove about YOU.
When you're prepared - you will add value by default. So let that go.
Hold your focus lightly, give yourself freedom to show up authentically, and permission to share YOU powerfully, by focusing on THEM.
You will reap the rewards, guaranteed.
Would would doing that open up for you as a presenter and as a leader?
